I gravitate towards styles that have a mix of old and new. Places with history and memories whilst not being too bogged down with the old. In saying that, my own home does run the risk of being somewhat over sentimental and some might say cluttered. Anyway it’s just what I like. It makes me feel at home and it reminds me of many happy passed times…

How lovely would it be to have a beautiful staircase in your home? These staircases are gorgeous. The first example with its simplistic palette and the warmth that the wood adds to the space whilst the others smack personality through their charm, colour and gorgeous detailing. I adore how they entice you upwards and beyond…what’s not to love.

I have been researching outdoor areas for a client and have stumbled upon some of the most gorgeous gardens, decks and patios. Some of the spaces are tiny but they still look so beautiful and inviting. Often all it takes to transform a space is a few gorgeous pots filled with soft greenery, a lovely chair to sit in and of course friends to chat with in the warmth of the sun…

Different types of lighting within your home can have an incredible impact on the ambience within each space. Whether you use a gorgeous table lamp, beautiful pendants or striking floor lamps, they will all add interest, layers of light and a feeling of warmth to an area. I adore these examples, one so simple and modernist in style whilst the others would add a touch of glamour to any room. Beautiful.

I have an addiction to gorgeous sofas and beautiful old chairs. I just wish I had more space to put them. The loveliness is always in the detail…deep buttoning, soft textural fabrics and simple lines are some of the things I adore. I know I have already posted about a sofa. I may just need therapy.

I love the gorgeous fish scale marble tiles, I love the crisp white backdrop, I love the oversized beautifully colourful pendant and I love the textural tiled flooring. Whilst I have been a fan of Leanne Culy and her gorgeous art and fabrics for years I have only recently discovered her striking plywood sideboard. I love its simple clean lines, the pale tone and the beautiful textural elements. Divine.
