Pendants are such a great way to add not only much needed light into dark spots but they can also add a lovely touch of colour and playfulness to a space. This Cirque Pendant by Louis Poulsen does just that. I love this space. To me it speaks volumes in terms of character whilst still offering the owners a tranquil place to retreat to. The simple addition of a dark quilted headboard adds a textural focal point, the linen blinds add that much needed softness whilst the purchase of some new artwork helped create some rays of happiness in this gorgeous room. A gorgeous new console greets you as you enter this home, along with some stunning artwork and the soft glow of a small but beautiful lamp. The playful pattern is simply stunning whilst the addition of a few well-loved treasures makes you feel at home as soon as you open the door. Sometimes all it takes is a rethink of your space, the addition of some lovely accessories and books and occasionally a new piece of furniture to finish off the space. Or even switching things around in your home if you have the right piece. Sounds perfect to me. Good things take time, and all that. And in almost all instances it is well worth the wait. This new kitchen is testament to that I do believe. I love the gorgeous tiles from @tiledepotnz as they have a beautiful glaze to them with a three dimensional look that pays tribute to the traditional Japanese art of Ukibori. They add colour, pattern and texture to this space, transforming it from what could have been a white on white somewhat boring kitchen to one that has character and love. Simple yet beautiful. A fresh new renovation doesn’t always mean a stack of new things as often by the end of the project the wallet is wearing thin. What it can mean is working with what one has to add character to the space. And in this case it had to be the kitchen table which had seen its fair share of family dinners, drinks and spills. With a quick sand and wax we took it from downright shabby to a table with a renewed loveliness to it. Of course the new linen pendant helped add to the warmth and the rug created a lovely focal point in this relatively small dining area. This gorgeous little space has many of the things I love in life. Some beautiful art. A splash of textural goodness through the vanity front from Plumbline. Match made in heaven colours being dusky pink and mustard yellow and last but not least a whimsical pineapple hook to hang the sweet little hand towel. Here we go again. Love at first sight. A gorgeous little nook adding interest to a long yet now very inviting hallway. It was hard to look past the textural goodness of this @_textilia_ fabric for the squab that we created. The richness of the fabric plays out in not only its texture but the truly divine colour. And of course the icing on the cake has to be the selection of two stunning cushions from @smallacornsthestore. A feast for the eyes don’t you think?
